I have long coveted White Birch Fiber Arts' self-striping sock yarn, but I've never bought it before because it's kind of pricey. But then one day I was just like, "whatever, let's splurge!" and it was totally worth it. Life is too short to get cheap with your yarn. Just do it. ;)
Now that I had some fantastic self-striping yarn, I obviously had to knit some sock surgeons! (I'm so predictable.)

notes
- Used a German twisted cast on - my first time with this one, I give it two thumbs up!
- Although I love the fact that you can insert the heel anywhere on these socks, I wish I had planned ahead a bit so that it would have been inserted in the middle of a blue section, or at least in the center of a rainbow section, or at least I should have bumped it up so it started at the bottom of a blue stripe instead of at the very top of the rainbow stripe. They still look nice, though!
